You’re just a 9 minute walk away from Essex Road station. The property is split over 2 levels. The first floor has a gorgeous open-plan area with a sleek kitchen and modern living area. There are polished wooden floors and chic furniture. You also have access to a private garden - a real treat in London! I hope you enjoy your stay! Conveniently located in the exciting area of Islington and with great transport links, you’ll be right in the hub of the city but able to escape the hustle and bustle! The living area, on the first floor, is light and airy with a beautiful, modern design and lovely finishing touches. The colour scheme is dramatic and glamorous and the dark wooden floors are a beautiful feature. Relax on the sofa and make yourself at home! It’s a welcoming and inviting space where you can kick back. There are floor-to-ceiling windows at either end of the room; one set can be opened onto a balcony overlooking the private garden. If cooking is your thing, you’re going to love spending time in the sleek kitchen. All the appliances are modern and easy to use - you’ll enjoy showing off your culinary skills here! Downstairs you’ll find two double bedrooms. Each is chic and stylish with double beds made to hotel standard with fresh luxury linen; what more do you need for a good night’s sleep? You don’t have to live out of your suitcase; plenty of storage room means you can get unpacking and start feeling at home right away. One of the bedrooms has doors that open onto the private garden. Freshen up in the lovely bathroom - you can enjoy a soak in the large bathtub. White fluffy towels and toiletries are provided! My property will be professionally cleaned before your stay. Neighborhood The Essex Road is a hub of activity and there’s plenty to discover and explore. Here are some of our tips and suggestions! The London Cocktail Club is a speakeasy-style bar with exposed brick walls and leather banquettes and serving, unsurprisingly, cocktails! Great atmosphere on a Friday night. The Myddleton Arms is a traditional English pub serving classic dishes - they do a fantastic Sunday roast - and a great selection of wines and ales. Sit outside and watch the world go by or on their private terrace. The New Rose pub is a no-frills pub - unpretentious and a great atmosphere. Akari is a Japanese restaurant in an old Victorian pub - good sushi and reasonable prices. Head to Salut! for modern European food - think steak tartare and beautifully cooked duck breast. If you want to eat like a Londoner, make your way to Sutton and Sons. This is where the locals go to get proper fish n’ chips. It’s a bit smarter than your average chippy, with ‘crab on toast’ on the menu, but you can still get an authentic British battered fish here. It will only take you about 10 minutes to walk to the Angel Islington - another vibrant area with tons of restaurants, pubs, and bars to discover. All the trendiest people head to Flashback Records, an independent record store. Everyone who works there is knowledgeable about every imaginable genre of music - you can spend hours browsing in here. For some fresh air and gorgeous green space, head to New River Walk and explore the lovely walking path by the water. Transit Both Essex Road and Haggerston stations are under a 10 minute walk away. Essex Road is on the Northern City Line which connects you to Highbury and Islington station (Victoria line) in just 3 minutes and Old Street (Northern line) in 4. Alternatively you can walk to Highbury and Islington station in 20 minutes where you can use the Victoria line to get to King’s Cross in 8 minutes or Oxford Circus in 12. Other things to note: - Please note the flat is on the ground floor and there is no elevator in the property.
