Summary: Because this property uses the same system for the 2 units the owner controls the heating and cooling system. We were in the lower apartment and were freezing cold. As seniors we feel the cold and therefore would not have rented this property had we known. It may be fine for younger people but my husband found it so cold he couldn't sleep and we cut our stay short rather than endure the very uncomfortable temperatures. The other issue I had pertains to the lack of kitchen supplies. Minimal dishes for 4 people and when having our daughter in law and 3 children for lunch did not have enough to accommodate. No basic cooking necessities, not even a pair of scissors to open packaged foods, no corkscrew, no wine glasses, etc. We are by no means excessive drinkers but we have a glass of wine with dinner and expect to enjoy a civilized experience on vacation when we are paying the rates asked for this residence. Earlier in the summer we stayed at another property with the same rates and enjoyed a gourmet kitchen and very classy vacation. In respect to cleanliness on the surface on first arriving it looked clean but it needs a thorough spring clean because baseboards and windows in particular were dirty. Location is great for being close to town centre and not too far from lakefront but it is a bit "down market ". All in all disappointing.
