Positive: From the moment we arrived Lucia and Octavius made us feel very welcome. Their warmth, kindness and genuine hospitality were exceptional, and they went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect in every way. It is easy to see why they are so proud of their beautiful property and gardens. Our apartment was superb - spotlessly clean, impeccably presented and equipped with everything we needed, and so much more. Every detail had been carefully considered; the kitchen was extremely well equipped and the bathroom stocked with thoughtful extras. It was such a lovely touch to receive a welcome selection of provisions on arrival and a delightful surprise basket on our first morning. The gardens are truly spectacular - beautifully maintained and a joy to share. A pristine swimming pool and an abundance of seating both in the sun and to relax in the shade under the impressive olive trees. We found having a car hire useful for exploring some of Puglia's gems; Alberobello, Ostuni and Polignano a Mare. Monopoli's beautiful old town is a pleasant 20 minute walk and offers an excellent selection of restaurant and bars. This was one of those rare holidays where everything exceeded our expectations. Lucia and Octavius are superb, warm, hosts generous of their time for guests to ensure they have a wonderful experience. The accommodation and stunning gardens are exceptional, we cannot recommend them enough. If you are looking for a special place to stay, look no further. 5 stars simply are not enough! A huge thank you from Paul and Sue.
