Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: We loved everything about this special place! The setting on top of the hill with the windmill and a church with a 360 degree view including the Óbidos walls and castle was spectacular. The grounds are well maintained and the house was lovely - clean, comfortable, with nice furniture and decor. The kitchen is very well stocked and all of the equipment worked well. The outdoor furniture is especially nice with a very large table and chairs and comfortable sofas. Fabio spent a lot of time explaining everything to us and was extremely responsive when we had any questions or issues. The house has been in his family a long time, and he clearly wants people to enjoy and appreciate it. We had never stayed in a place for so long (2 weeks), and we didn’t want to leave!

Negative: I thought the two full bathrooms were in the main house, but actually one is in the small detached building where the laundry is next to the outdoor grill and sink. This wasn’t a problem for us, and upstairs there is a tiny bathroom (sink and toilet). The upstairs currently has one bunk bed and two twins.
