This beautiful, and traditional, Ontario cottage rental is located on the eastern shores of Lake Simcoe in Beaverton. Casa Bonita has everything you could ask for in a cottage - a wood burning fireplace, unlimited internet, sunset views, a spacious and grassy yard, and shallow entry to the water making it great for swimming! The cottage is in a great location, making picking up groceries and going on day trips very convenient - it is less than a 5-minute drive to Beaverton, 30 minutes to Orillia and only a 1.5 hour drive from Toronto. Casa Bonita is perfect for a getaway at any time of year and a great spot for groups looking for a long-term stay to get out of the city or for those working in and around the area!
The kitchen is spacious and well equipped with everything you'll need, including a dishwasher. The living room features gleaming wood floors, comfortable furniture, and a wood burning fireplace. The smart TV has access to Netflix, and has cable service, and the Wi-Fi is unlimited - perfect for streaming! At any time of year, whether you want to enjoy a movie night, a cozy fire, or test your skills at a board game, this space is the perfect gathering place for the entire group. For family meals, the dining table seats 8. The screened-in sunroom is a wonderful place to sit and enjoy the lake views in comfort, and there's a log-effect gas stove there for added coziness, particularly in the winter. There is a small workspace available on the second level and with the large dining room table and many other seating areas, there is plenty of space if you are looking to also do work during your stay.
For sleeping, the cottage has 4 bedrooms, of which three are Queen-sized and the fourth bedroom includes a double bed and a bunk bed (single beds). There are 2 bathrooms (1 4-piece and 1 3-piece), with one being located on each level.
The property is mostly grassy and flat, great for playing games, and there's even a children's playset. The property slopes towards the waterfront, and there are a few stairs down to the lake. The waterfront features western exposure, for spectacular sunsets. The cottage has a dock (not available after Thanksgiving) that juts out into the water to help provide spectacular views of Simcoe and the sunset.
Only minutes from the lovely, historic town of Beaverton, this cottage rental has easy access to restaurants, groceries, and shopping. There is lots to do in the area with several golf courses nearby and if you are looking for some added excitement, there's also Casino Rama (30 minutes) that is open year-round. Be sure to check out Centennial Park, a beautiful riverside park in Beaverton, where you'll also find the Old Stone Jail, and the Beaver River Museums. For golfers there are several courses within 20 minutes - Pines of Georgina, Cedarhurst Golf Club, and the Beaverton Golf Course. Sibbald Point Provincial Park is just 20 minutes away, and offers year-round access to trails for hiking, cross country skiing, and snowshoeing. In the winter, the area is renowned for its snowmobiling trails and ice fishing and Casa Bonita is in a perfect spot to visit many historic towns around the area that have events year-round, including many winter events.

Waterfront A set of stairs leads to the dock. Entry to the water is by the dock or off the shoreline and the water is shallow off the dock, making it perfect for guests of all ages. The dock also includes a ladder, providing easy access into the water. It is great for swimming, with no weeds and a mostly sandy bottom.
Trivia The nearby town of Beaverton was first settled in 1822. It was originally called Calder's Mills (after an early miller), then Mill Town and Milton until it was renamed Beaverton when the post office was opened in 1835. (Source - Wikipedia).
