The sleek, European-inspired interiors feature high-end finishes for comfort and style. Note that there may be noise from neighbors; we’re happy to provide earplugs and a noise machine!

The exterior of the building is a standout amidst the city’s uniform structures, featuring rusted metal siding, painted stucco panels, and black, burned Japanese Shou Sugi Ban wood. Nestled between the vibrant commercial hub of Hawthorne and the leafy side streets filled with residential architectural masterpieces from the past 120 years, the location offers the best of both worlds.

Commonly known as “Foodie Row,” the Hawthorne/Buckman District puts you within walking distance of a wide variety of top-notch local flavors, with no chain restaurants in sight! Make new friends over vegan poutine fries and grilled PB&Js at the Cartopia food cart pod, get messy with wings right around the corner at Fire on the Mountain, share a pie at Apizza Scholls (consistently voted Portland’s favorite pizza), or opt for a fancy night out at Castagna—all within a 1.5-mile stretch.
Portland isn't just for foodies; the vibrant indie spirit of Hawthorne is alive with plenty of made-in-Oregon shops and boutiques to explore. Catch a movie at the Bagdad Theater and Pub, a revamped 1920s theater turned view-and-brew venue serving local McMenamins food and microbrews.
