In light of the recent developments concerning the COVID-19 outbreak, I am taking extra precautions and measures to ensure my property is being thoroughly cleaned and disinfected. I want to assure all guests I have taken these extra steps to ensure the health and safety of all travelers I host. The Space: The apartment is on the ground floor. It features a full bathroom with the benefits of an electric shower, and kitchen with all you need to cook, including kettle, toaster, hob, microwave, fridge and a coffee machine. A king size bed in the bedroom makes up the sleeping configuration with storage space for clothes and belongings too. Sky TV & Amazon Prime Video as well as fast WiFi are available at the apartment also. The large, comfy lounge with the typical Glaswegian tenement's high ceilings, offers a fantastic spot to relax watching TV or with a book, after a long day out exploring. Guest Access: Guests will have access to the entire property throughout their stay. All check in details will be sent in advance via our electronic guidebook link. The Neighborhood: The property is in the perfect location to cater for all guests requirements. If you are looking for local restaurants or fast wood you will find them both nearby. The area has great transport links for all modes of transport. We are also close by to some of the south's (and Glasgow's) top restaurants – Ranjit’s Kitchen for authentic Panjabi fare, The McMillan for top-notch chop-house dining, Julie's Kopitiam for masterful Malaysian cuisine or the iconic Battlefield Rest, an Italian bistro housed in one of the most stunning buildings in Glasgow. The Southside area is also packed with great pubs and bars - Our personal favourites are the Allison Arms and The Laurieston which are both super friendly and provide a great selection of drinks. If you are blessed with good weather during your time here (we have our fingers crossed!) then a trip to the fantastic Pollok Country Park makes for a great day out for everyone. Just a short drive from the property with free parking it comes packed with gardens to explore, friendly highland cows, a large children's park and the history and heritage of the Country House and Burrell Collection within its grounds. It is a picnic paradise providing a sense of open space and country scenery all within the heart of the Southside. Getting Around: There is free parking on the street outside. Shields Road underground station is less than 10 minute walk and provides access to the entire city. Glasgow International Airport is 15 minutes away in a taxi. Other Things to Note: Please note, check in is not available on the 25th of December and the 1st of January. We can arrange rental of a high chair and a travel cot if needed during your stay Interaction with Guests: We like to give our guests space to enjoy their time in Glasgow but we are available should there be any issues or if you have any questions.
