Boulsdon Croft Manor is an imposing Georgian farmhouse over 3 floors and set within the grounds of our 24 acre livery yard. Nestled near the foot of May Hill, from where you can see 12 counties, we are also surrounded by apple orchards & blackcurrant fields and has a hot tub (extra charge), summer grass tennis court, croquet lawn, seasonal outdoor heated pool, home cinema & games room. From the large entrance hall, enter the kitchen and breakfast room with double oven, Tassimo coffee machine (bring pods), breakfast bench, table, TV and ample storage. To the right is the spacious living room complete with grand piano, 55 inch TV and cosy wood burner for those colder evenings. The period table and chairs are at the heart of the majestic dining room, with large ornate mirrors and chandelier to make every occasion a special one. Up the stairs, to the first floor landing, you will find a huge ceiling height mirror and the first of 4 colour co-ordinated & horse named bedrooms - ‘Palamino’ is a double, ‘Piebald’ has 2 singles, ‘Grey’ has full size single bunk beds for kids or adults and the imposing ‘Chestnut’ has an Indonesian 4 poster king and an en-suite bathroom. There is also a large family bathroom on this floor over looking the pool and lawns. If you picked your room early, you may be disappointed! Carry on up the stairs to the next floor and you will find ‘Shire' with a hand crafted 4 poster king and just as you think you have found all of the bedrooms, go up a final flight of stairs to the mezzanine and you will find ‘Shetland' with a king bed. Shetland overlooks the games and cinema room. Chill out on the sofas and cow hide chairs, play table tennis or bring on the movie night with our big screen projector complete with sound bar. You have the choice of Netflix movies, TV or you can connect your own laptop. This floor is serviced by a further bathroom and a kitchenette. Outside to the front you have the full size grass tennis court (May – September & weather permitting) which is adjacent to our enchanting arboretum, complete with central fire pit for toasting marshmallows. The side and rear of the house overlooks the paddocks that are filled with around 15 horses. There is also a lawn for croquet or other games and our large outdoor heated pool May to September with decking, BBQ and loungers. The Hot tub is on the kitchen patio overlooking the farm and is an extra £100 a weekend then £25 a day. We provide luxury 200TC linen and bath towels. Please bring own pool and hottub towels as ours are not for outside use. Just a note to reassure you and guests over your stay at Boulsdon. All of our laundry goes through a commercial process called OZONE which kills all known bacteria and virus known to man, and is the chemical being used in China to sterilise the streets. Additionally, the house is professionally cleaned between each booking and we are currently undertaking an additional top to bottom surface clean with disinfectant when the general clean is complete. The size of our house and grounds affords you the benefit of determining your interaction with others, with plenty of footpaths accessible from the property for walks etc and I am sure you will find it a welcome break from the current level of stress. We want you to feel at ease when your stay with us and whilst we live in the grounds and usually meet & greet guests we are more than happy to just leave you instructions / communicate over text/Whatsapp or even shout from a distance (!). If you have booked the hot tub, rest assured that it is emptied and refilled for each guests and fully chlorinated which is known to deactivate a virus like COVID19.
