Positive: The view was great and the condo was very clean and comfortable for our 5 night stay. For two people it felt very spacious It was beachfront so walking with our chairs, umbrella, cooler etc. was no problem! The washing machine was right outside the door so doing laundry was conveniently close. There were plenty of garbage bags, towels, dishwashing pods, a new sponge, coffee supplies, clean dishes, great water pressure in the showers, a broom and vacuum to intermittently clean up the sand between trips so you’re not stepping in it the whole stay, and convenient parking. It was also an unexpected convenience having the umbrella and beach chairs provided. The beds were very comfortable and the sheets were fresh so I didn’t feel grossed out sleeping in them. The host was very professional and the day of check-in he inquired to make sure everything was acceptable so that was nice. Most importantly, it felt very safe. We really appreciate the stay!
Negative: I guess I misread but I booked this room because I thought the washing machine was in-unit but it was not, the elevators took a while due to maintenance which was fine but still note worthy, this IS NOT the hosts fault but my fiancé and I weight lift so we did use the gym there. The gym itself was about as expected in regards to size, but there were children in bathing suits playing on the equipment and following us around the gym, jumping between machines and not cleaning after themselves- all without adult supervision so we had to cut our workouts short. Lastly, the location wasn’t awful but it would have been nice to have a few places to eat dinner at within walking distance. It was also about a 7 minute drive to the Harborwalk.
Summary: All in all, we had a great time here and would definitely recommend the condo to anyone looking to stay in Destin.
