Less than 90 mins from Auckland city centre, you will be missing most of the weekend traffic to get to this idyllic location, Auckland's best-kept secret. Located on the Awhitu Peninsula shoreline at the end of a cul de sac in a friendly community where everybody knows everybody, this family bach has amazing sea views across the Manukau Harbour to Auckland city. As it is located inside the harbour, it is great for safe swimming, kayaking or paddleboarding and jet skiing. You will love the kids being able to swim and play on the white sandy beach right in front of the house. There are also two playgrounds at walking distance and being a cul de sac, it is ideal for kids to ride their bikes along the waterfront road. The Manukau Harbour is great for fishing and there is a boat ramp only 200 metres away from the house (BYO boat). A bit about the house. The house is split into two levels: Upstairs has a large deck, lounge with TV and DVD, kitchen, dining areas both indoors and outdoors, two double bedrooms, one 2-bunk kiddies room and a toilet. Downstairs has a large rumpus room with a fold-out sofa bed. There's a lot of space for kids and adults to play and also includes a dartboard, board games and a TV & DVD player. There is also another double room with a double bed, a bathroom with laundry facilities and a separate toilet. There is also an outdoor shower with warm water for a touch of luxury. A portacot is available on request. There are many activities to see and do in the area- The historical lighthouse is a must, the regional park offers some beautiful beaches and walks, riding boogie boards on the sand dunes at Hamilton's gap, Kariotahe beach for some surfing, markets in Pollok and Matakawau and wine tasting at Awhitu Wines in Graham's Beach. Other activities include collecting pipis, long walks along the beach at low tide, a game of tennis at the community tennis court, or if you are a runner, there are some beautiful country roads with views that will take your breath away. This bach offers everything for the perfect holiday.
