Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The room is good value for Rome. It's about 5 mins walk from the Termini station and Metro, which is useful, particularly as you can get a shuttle bus or direct train from the airport to Termini. It's about 20 mins walk to the Colosseum and 30 mins to the Trevi fountain. There is a good restaurant downstairs and a mini-market at the end of the road. The room was comfortable with air-con and a little fridge and was quiet (at least from outside noise). Refat, the host, was helpful with communication and was there to greet us on arrival.

Negative: Be aware that the rooms are in the eaves and the bathroom ceiling is particularly low, not a problem if you're short (we are), but not good for tall folks. Also, the shared kitchen is really just a microwave and coffee machine, the fridge freezer is unplugged and the gas stove is disconnected. Also, there are no loungers on the roof terrace and the plastic chairs out there are very tired. Finally, the room could do with more hangers (4 for 2 people isn't enough) and it needs some hooks or a towel rail as there's nowhere to hang towels - a small point but annoying. A tip for the restaurant below, it gets pretty busy, so you may have to queue for a short while, or try booking a table (can book for the same day usually).
