This handsome stone and wood duplex, designed by famed architect Robert Stern, a two-minute walk to the ski lifts, has a magnificent private yard with great outdoor entertaining features – a secluded outdoor dining area (use it also in the winter with supplied propane heaters), expansive cocktail patio and grill area, and an elegant stone hot tub, perfect for relaxing after a heavy day of skiing, hiking , biking. Indoors a two-story living room, stone fireplace, and elevator connecting all four floors. Sleeps six adults in the top floor three bedrooms; two bunk-beds and a fold-out sofa in the rec room with large screen TV and separate full bath sleeps six; and a convertible den sleeps two with its own full bath.
Location can’t be better — walk access to ski lifts , X country trails, snowmobiling, endless bike paths; world-class horseback riding and fly fishing minutes away. House guests enjoy membership privileges at the exclusive Ritz Carlton club (75 yards away) next to the lifts, with spa, gym, and year-around heated outdoor swim pool and hot tub. The Aspen Highlands Recreation Center, just down the street, will keep the kids busy all day. Downtown Aspen, with endless restaurants, entertainment, luxury shopping is 2 miles away, reached by walking, biking, free bus every 20 minutes, or free taxi included in rent, to/from airport or downtown — no need to rent a car, but up to four car spaces available if needed.
