Positive: The location was excellent and the apartment was spacious, airy and bright. Kitchen and dining well-equipped and generally clean. Couches are comfortable.
Negative: While it was (apparently) in the fine print, our attention was not drawn at the time of booking (a non-refundable booking in fact) to an addition EUR100 charge, just for cleaning the apartment at the end of the stay for the next set of guests. It is odd to require your current guests to pay cleaning for subsequent guests, and also sharp practice to tell us of this after we showed up at the location, when it could have easily been added to the price of the booking (as what AirBnB does). However, we were advertised a lower price. Do also note that we were charged an additional EUR20 per bed for sheets and towels (which we had to put on ourselves). It is really odd an apartment can be rented out on booking.com without sheets (did they expect us to supply our own?), so it doesn't seem like a real "choice" to pay the EUR20. Again this could have been added to the price of the booking. Other issues include only one toilet bowl in the entire apartment (which was cramped), inconsistent water temperate for showers, faulty door knob, no iron, no hair dryer.
Summary: Nice homely apartment, but for the poor commercial practice that left a bitter taste in our mouths
