Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The location was great, the colosseum is about a 5 min walk. There are lots of bars and restaurants everywhere. The beds were comfortable, the place is clean, and felt safe. The owner allowed an early check-in was helpful in offering restaurant options with discounts. There was a small, rickety old elevator to take belongings up, and if you don’t like those kind of elevators it is only a floor and a half up with a wide, easily traversable staircase.

Negative: The air conditioning and WiFi were non-existent. The owner insisted that it was do to being an old building, but even with a full signal there was no internet flowing into the WiFi. The owner switched our room from a small 3 bed room to a smaller 2 beds, which gave us WiFi but still left a family of four sweating and crammed into 2 beds (the AC was basically a loud AC looking machine with a remote that barely met the standards of air circulation-nothing cold came out of that thing). It was very difficult to sleep. If we had been a couple who doesn’t care about air conditioning, loud noise (leaving the window open was a non-stop cacophony of street noise, garbage trucks, screaming, honking, etc.), or strong WiFi, it would have been a decent stay. Truly there are things to recommend this place, but if WiFi and AC are important to you, this will probably not be a happy stay.
