In the same garden of Casa Pietrina stands the Antico Casale, an ancient building dating back to 1838 (renovated in 2013) with wooden roof and imbrici, consisting of a living area with an ancient oven attached, bathroom, bedroom with double bed or vice versa, second bedroom with double bed, and a splendid and welcoming underground cellar dug into the rock where you can enjoy a glass of wine in absolute relaxation. The Antico Casale is studied in detail: the windows become paintings created by Maria, the kitchenette is set in the old stone and earth wall, left exposed by the owners to revive the atmosphere of the past, a ancient pile in Lecce stone, used as a manger, becomes a sink. The objects of peasant life used and patinated by time by the grandparents of the owners, become modules of artistic craftsmanship presented on the walls as large contemporary installations. Where the ancient enters the modern and the modern pierces the past thus giving a warm, welcoming, fresh and familiar atmosphere. And for fun, the jamb of an ancient door acts as a headboard for a bed, and an old bascule furnishes the master bedroom. The Antico Casale has large outdoor areas for eating in contact with nature.
