AMAZING BIG COAST HOUSE ON A TRANQUIL ORGANIC FARM WITH AMAZING MOUNTAINS VIEWS! | House in Frontera

6 Bedroom House in Las Puntas, Frontera
We live in a beautiful charming rural house and we are offering an amazing very large spacious modern house on our organic farm where we live and work. Our home is located in the paradise of El Hierro island which is a UNESCO biosphere reserve which is nature rich and exceptionally scenic and the smallest of the Canaries is located in Frontera which has amazing climate conditions all year round. The farm has about 7400 m2 and planted with seasonal vegetables and fruits, that you can use always.
The location is between the sea and the mountains.
We live and work in the farm so we are always around and we give always fresh fruits, vegetables, bread and eggs to our guest so they don't need to buy things that we have in the farm, they can just get them by themselves from the trees.
The house is 180 m2 and has 4 big bedrooms, 2 mezzanine sleeping areas, 2 bathrooms and 1 toilet, a very large living area and a very big modern kitchen diner, all with large glazed frontages offering wonderful views across the farm.
4 of the bedrooms has a king size bed, 2 of them have a queens bed and in the living room there is a sofa bed available as well.
You can take sun on the solarium, outside the house, almost every day of the year thanks to our exceptional climate, but in easy walking distance to the coast or eco tourist sites and 1 Km to the town centre.
We live and work in the farm so we are available always for our guests.
Some suggestions on what to see and places to visit:
ECOMUSEO DE GUINEA Y LAGARTARIO
The Lizard Sanctuary and the Guinea Eco-Museum are just a short walk from the farm, these can be visited together and allow you to get a view of our Giant Lizards and a glimpse into what Life must have been like back in the past, with the first settlements on the island.
THE FRONTERA RURAL PARK
The Frontera Rural Park is a large area where nature and rural tourism are combined in the youngest of the Canary Islands. El Hierro is a Unesco Biosphere Reserve and at 268 square kilometres is the most western and southern of the Canary Islands. It’s also the point where, centuries ago, the world ended as far as the European cartographers were concerned. The southern and western part of the island is a rural tourism idyll: Frontera Rural Park, where man and nature still co-exist in peace.
What to do in Frontera Rural Park
The mountainous island of El Hierro has forests, arid areas and an infinite number of volcanic cones. This unique mosaic of landscapes and residential pockets never fails to surprise. On the same day visitors can bathe beside a marine reserve, feel the centuries of history recorded in the tree trunks of a juniper forest and walk down pathways between woods and rain-forests that reflect times gone by. And if your energy levels start to flag, you can enjoy a dish of 'vieja' (a tropical parrot fish) with potatoes and mojo sauce beside one of the Canaries’ few marine reserves.
MIRADOR DE LA PEÑA
From the La Peña Viewpoint in Guarazoca (in north of El Hierro), the consequences of a breath-taking prehistoric event are clearly visible: the giant landslide that occurred millions of years ago and created the El Golfo Valley. The cliffs of this huge crevice - fifteen kilometres wide and one and a half kilometres high - is covered by dense endemic vegetation. At its foot lies a volcanic plain with vineyards and orchards that ends in the blue Atlantic. From La Peña you can also admire the unspoilt Salmor rocks, a sanctuary for El Hierro's giant native lizards.
EL ARBOL GAROE
The Garoé Tree is found in a place full of magnetism, in the town of San Andrés in El Hierro. Adored by the Bimbaches (ancient inhabitants of El Hierro), it has become a real symbol of island identity. The leaves were once capable of collecting enough water to supply the whole population of the island, a fact that earned it a reputation as a sacred tree. In the 17th Century a hurricane blew it down, and it wasn’t until 1949 that it was replaced by the laurel that stands there today. This place, a source of many legends, now boasts a small performance centre where you will find all the information you need to know about the sacred tree, from its historical and archaeological importance to the phenomenon of the horizontal rain - the reason the tree is able to distill water. The love the El Hierro people have for this tree is so strong that they created a water route some years ago, a 16-kilometre walk that helps visitors learn the history of water in the island.
EL CHARCO AZUL
Situated in El Hierro, Charco Azul is, without doubt, one of the most spectacular bathing spots in the smallest of the Canary Islands. Created naturally by flowing lava, this zone doesn’t just invite you to bathe in its turquoise pools, but also offers protection from the imposing open sea by way of a rook, which sends white spray and the crashing of waves up the sides. Located in El Golfo, a magnificent valley along the rugged coastline, this pool is one of the finest examples of some of the delightful side effects of volcanic flows. Easy to get to on foot, with wooden sun decks and a basalt arch which crowns the pool, there are also diving points for the more daring visitor. The waters will relax, refresh and recharge you.
We are 5 minutes from the sea, natural swimming pools and 10 minutes to another beaches. We are also close to the mountains so you can do amazing hikes from our farm as well.
The best way of getting around is by car, but if you don't drive you can use the bus (public transport) or the bike. If you really like to walk you can walk from our farm as well.
