Positive: - Friendly and helpful hosts, always checking if anything else is needed - New apartment with modern facilities - Location away from aircraft landing path, so no disturbing landing noises - 2 air conditioners in the apartment - 1 in living room and one in the bedroom. Most apartments in Rhodes have only one. - Washing machine available
Negative: - Check in process was very unpleasant. I received a link to the location that was a few houses up the street, and even though I recognised the house from the pictures, the gate would not open and that caused confusion. I tried calling the number provided several times, but no one would answer, simultaneously walked up the street to see in case I was at the wrong house. After quite a while a lady who answered the phone was very impolite. I tried explaining that the gate would not open and she kept telling in a demeaning manner to find the key in a key box (that later figured out was inside the gated area). That went on for long a while, until I finally managed to open the gate, that required both arms and lots of body strength to slide it to the side. A simple explanation to use lots of strength on the gate would have sufficed, instead she kept telling me to find the key box, that, together with a wrong location link, got me confused if I'm even at the right house. Normally in Greece the hosts are very welcoming and check in goes smoothly, so was very surprised with this experience. However the owner that I later met at the house and the cleaning lady were very nice. - The apartment I booked was claimed to have a balcony and terrace, however it was on the ground floor and only had a small table and chairs in the common area, without any privacy. After mentioning that, the lady said that I'll have the privacy, as other apartments are not rented and no one will be walking there. However, every morning, when I wanted to sit outside, that yard had multiple people walking in it, also people using the watering hose that was right next to the table and doing yard work right in front of the table.
