Built on the site of the former Waggon & Horses Pub from Cotswold stone, Elba House provides high quality accommodation for families, friends, and their four legged companions, to explore all the Cotswolds and West Oxfordshire has to offer.
Chipping Norton is an attractive and superbly situated small historic market town on the edge of the renowned Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It has numerous amenities including supermarkets, pubs, restaurants, coffee shops, park and can even boast its own lido and theatre.
We are 8 miles from Soho Farmhouse, 10 miles from Woodstock and the majestic Blenheim Palace (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) , 19 miles from Bicester Village, and only 22 miles from the historic centres of Oxford and Stratford-Upon-Avon (both can be reached by bus). It is also a great location for Blenheim Park, Great Tew Park and Cornbury Park events. We are only a short drive from Kingham and Charlbury GWR train stations and numerous stations on the Chiltern Line.
Elba House has generous and flexible bedroom accommodation, a courtyard garden with southerly aspect, 2 private parking spaces and is a very short walk away from Chipping Norton town centre.
Rare for the Cotswolds, Elba House gives you loads of space in the bedrooms, so feel free to swing as many cats as you please (not literally - of course). The master and second bedroom both have king sized beds - no short straws for couples staying together. There is an additional sofa bed in the second bedroom if required.The third bedroom has a full single sized bed.
All beds have the highly rated Silentnight Studio Medium memory foam mattress, microfibre duvets and luxury bed linen.
The second floor ensuite has a shower and separate bath. The first floor bathroom has a bath and over bath shower.
The kitchen has all the cooking facilities you would expect. We have:

The living room is a very comfortable space to socialise with a log burning stove. It also has:

If you need some 'me' time, there is 'music room' with record player and the third bedroom has another T.V. and DVD Player.
We are happy to accept one mutt of most (smaller) varieties on the ground floor of Elba House only, provided they are well behaved and are not left alone.
Please note that the property is on a hill, has three storeys and there are steps up to the rear door. Chipping Norton is also plonked right on one of those famous Cotswold 'rolling hills'. If you have mobility issues please do contact us with any questions you have prior to booking.
We do not currently accept cats due to the increased allergy risk for future guests. We do take dogs as they are deemed to be a lower allergy risk and we have dogs of our own. Please bear this in mind if someone in your party is allergic to pets.
