With fitted units and a large workspace, the kitchen is well equipped and includes a dishwasher, a coffee maker, a chilled water dispenser from the fridge, as well as an excellent range cooker. You can dine overlooking the garden, spotting visiting wildlife through the French doors as you enjoy your meal. Upstairs you find the large living room with a very comfortable L-shaped sofa, which offers more than enough space for everyone to sit on and spread out, enjoying views of the garden and beyond. If you prefer, take a shot at the black ball on the 6ft snooker table or enjoy one of the many family board games provided by the owner. On a split level from the living room are two bedrooms to the front of the house with feature original eves, generous wardrobes and drawers, and a little more quirkiness! Guests will not be queuing in the morning, as there is a large bathroom with a shower over, and a separate shower room, along with an extra toilet downstairs. Outside, private parking is available to the side of the property, and there is also a delightful enclosed garden, with seasonally planted borders around a lush green lawn. During the autumn you are welcome to take your pick of the fruit from the plum and apple trees. Gosforth is famed for its wonderful scenery, and there is an abundance of walks in nearby Wasdale. A short drive away you find yourself in one of the most popular Cumbrian seaside villages, Seascale, where a perfect way to spend the time is to walk along the sandy beach whilst enjoying ice cream. Other nearby attractions include Muncaster Castle where you can meet the owls, and the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway, which offers a perfect day out for the children. Take a visit to Wastwater, a beautiful 3 mile long lake, or St Olaf’s Church, one of England’s smallest churches. On a rainy day, visit Whitehaven with its historic harbour, superb Beacon Heritage Centre and the visitor attraction and museum known as The Rum Story, where you can learn about the rum trade.
