In an inspirational setting, at the foot of red sandstone cliffs on the seafront, The Connors at Gardenstown is situated in a super location in the picturesque fishing village of Gardenstown. This traditional, end terraced fisherman’s cottage has been converted and refurbished to a very good standard throughout, and provides the perfect holiday home for a couple or three friends to spend time together and explore the area. Guests will find a delightful property which oozes charm. The living room enjoys the friendly comfort of a wood burner, ensuring this is a cosy retreat whatever the season, and you are able to admire the sea view whilst having a meal. The ground floor also has a well-equipped kitchen fitted with quality appliances and a family shower room. The first floor has a single bedroom and a kingsize bedroom which provide fabulous views along the seafront to the beach. Just minutes walk from the sandy beach in one direction and a small working harbour with fishing and small leisure boats, it is a great location from which to admire the views over the Moray Firth and watch the local birds and sea life. Dolphins are also frequent visitors in the firth. The village has a local supermarket, a tea room and gallery. Major supermarkets deliver to the village, and if you would like a hamper of local produce tailored to your visit, this can be pre-ordered directly with the owner to make your stay that bit more special and will be waiting for you on arrival. There is so much to do right from your doorstep, including walks along the shoreline, exploring the quaint lanes in the village or visiting the mystic ruin of St John’s Kirk at the top of the cliffs. A regular bus service operates to the local villages if you prefer to leave your car. For days out and still within a short driving distance, there are several visitor attractions including the Macduff Marine Aquarium or follow the Castle Trail to visit some of the heritage associated with the region. Regular events are held locally throughout the year, including the Harbour Gala, the Scottish Traditional Boat Festival at Portsoy and a Coastal Festival of the Arts, making The Connors at Gardenstown a good all year round location for a holiday.
