This small complex of apartments can be found in the very centre of Calderdale’s largest town Halifax. Offering flexible sleeping arrangements, each apartment is perfect for either a couple or two friends wanting to explore the wonders of both Halifax and West Yorkshire. Shibden Suite & Lister Suite are a duplex with the bedroom accessed via a narrow spiral stair, and Crossley Suite is set out over one level. Within a 10 minute walk from the apartments you’ll find an abundance of amenities including Halifax train station, the town centre, markets, shops, bars and restaurants. This also includes Halifax Minister and the newly restored Grade I Listed Piece Hall which is an absolute must to visit. Halifax itself is known for its stunning Victorian architecture and strong industrial heritage. It’s also becoming more well known as the back drop to Happy Valley, Last Tango in Halifax, Ackley Bridge and Gentleman Jack. In 2022 Marvel was spotted filming in the area as was Mission Impossible in 2021.
Grade II Listed Shibden Hall as seen in ‘Gentleman Jack’ can be reached in a 5 minute drive or 25 minute walk, and is surrounded by the stunning restored gardens and estate that all form part of Shibden Park. Further afield Ogden Water Country Park and artsy Hebden Bridge are around a 15 minute drive and Haworth plus the local countryside which is important to the Brontë heritage around half an hour. Skipton and the Yorkshire Dales National Park can be reached in around an hour, and Halifax train station offers a direct service to the bright lights and city centre shopping of both Leeds and Manchester.
