Welcome to the old church in central Fredriksberg or Säfsen as places are better known as, as the place name originally originates from Säfsnäs parish just over 60 km from Ludvika in Dalarna. A large and spacious accommodation with room for 12 people and perfect if you are several families who want to travel together. On the entrance level there is a bedroom with 2 single beds (90cm), large living room with a single bed (90cm) an airy kitchen with microwave, oven, refrigerator. Here, the church hall has been converted into a wonderfully large and airy room with sofas, a dining area and a small ping pong table for those who want to run a match before the meal. There is also a bathroom with toilet, sink, shower and washing machine. Downstairs there is a large living room with sofa and TV and a sleeping alcove with two bunk beds, in the living room there is also a single bed -120cm. On this floor there is also a private kitchen and a bathroom with shower, toilet and sink. If you go out through one of the exits on the lower level, you come to the house's separate bedroom with space for four people in a 120cm bed, a 90cm bed and a sofa bed for two people. The unique thing about this room is that it has its own entrance from the outside and its own toilet with sink. If someone wants to sleep completely undisturbed from the rest of the house, this room is recommended. Säfsen is known for skiing in the winter and its fantastic fishing in the summer. There are a number of different lakes where you are guaranteed to get a pacifier. Pack a picnic bag and go hiking on a nearby trail or rent a canoe or rowboat and take the whole family out on one of the 175 lakes available. There is fishing equipment for rent and in all fishing waters fishing licenses are required which can be bought at the resort. If you have children, we suggest a visit to the Wilderness Playground here, you can also rent bikes and cycle both on the road and in the mountains. The little boys must try the Filurius BMX track, which is a groomed cycling arena. Welcome to an active or quiet stay in beautiful Säfsen!
