Villa Manthos Traditional Cretan Mansion | House in Mylopotamos, Greece
Villa Manthos is the historical house of the heroes of the Cretan revolution against the Ottoman Turks; Leonidas and Nikolaos Matthaioudakis (sons of the priest Matthaios) who participated in the battle of Arkadi in 1866, the famous monastery of Crete where the holocaust took place. Leonidas actually signed the treaty of Halepa in 1878, that was basic for the autonomy of the island of Crete from the Ottoman Turks and the union with main Greek state.
