Palazzo Malipiero - Casanova Apartment in a 14th century palace on Grand Canal
Palazzo Malipiero is located on the Grand Canal in the very heart of Venice on San Samuele square, one of the most fascinating and prestigious areas and rented for a long term.
Its entrance, from n. 3198 just off Saint Samuel Square, is in common with the Wolf-Ferrari apartment (the 2 apartments combined can host a large group of 14 people).
In the same part of the building you can also enjoy:
-1- the Wolf-Ferrari apartment
-2- the Terrace apartment
-3- the Courtyard apartment
The 4 apartments combined can host large groups of 28 people.
Please note that together with other apartments at Palazzo Malipiero can be hosted groups of about 50 people.
It stands just across from Palazzo Grassi Exhibition Center, is well served by public transport, and is only fifteen minutes' walk from San Marco square.
It is centrally situated, at the crossroads of the city's cultural and artistic areas. The splendid Italian-style garden with a view on the Grand Canal makes it even more unique.
Originally built in Byzantine times, the nine centuries' architectural history of the palace can be retraced in its complex structure: each generation of owners left its stamp of caring and fervour for the arts.
But even more fascinating are the historical and human dramas that took place here throughout the centuries:
Giacomo Casanova was born in Palazzo Malipiero dependance ans lived there till 1740.
The 170 square meters' Casanova apartment can host 8 people, is located at the 2rd floor and has side views of the Grand Canal and Palazzo Grassi Museum.
