Casa de Leon is a spacious and modern home located in one of the nicest neighborhoods around. Our casa features stainless steel kitchen appliances, custom mahogany woodwork throughout, and large comfortable beds. Enjoy the unparalleled views of both the ocean and the majestic Sierra Laguna mountains from the rooftop deck or walk a few minutes to the long and unpopulated San Pedrito Beach to swim, surf, fish, or kayak in the Pacific Ocean. We are located within walking/biking distance of several farm-to-table restaurants, yoga studios, and the famous Baja Beans coffee shop. The house is three stories (four, if you count the rooftop deck!) so there are views for miles from pretty much anywhere in the house. The furnishings are comfortable, modern, and collected from all over the world with a bohemian. modern flare.

Summary: This property was a bit disappointing. The pictures and location looked great- and when the property was newer I’m sure it was. Unfortunately there is a lot of deferred maintenance- all the plumbing fixtures are loose- only hot water at the kitchen sink - all the showers and sinks are luke warm at best. All of the screens on the windows and doors are bent or torn- with the bugs in the area, this made it impossible to keep anything open. The refrigerator had trouble keeping a cool temperature and the pots and pans are very rough. Luckily the beds were clean and comfortable and the property was responsive to issue that could be fixed. The pool was adequate but lots of junk, old furniture and trash was left all around the outside of the property, the landscaping is completely overgrown. Also important to note that the layout is difficult to truly accommodate 5 bedrooms- only two bathrooms in the home, the 3rd is a pool bathroom. The 5th bedroom is only accessible from a separate entrance. The location is great- close walk to the beach, but there is someone living in a junky RV& broken down cars in the front yard.
