Travel Purpose: business

Positive: What an absolute gem of an accommodation! If you want to experience a bit of authentic Japanese flavor while having access to all the comforts of a hotel, snatch this place up if you have a chance! The location is perfectly situated to easily enjoy all the spots in Nara without feeling stuck in the tourist crush. We were totally blown away with all the thoughtful touches that were available throughout the space, both from the design side (such as the cute decor in the little garden) to the practical (like the robes to keep cozy or the welcome treats that were provided). This would easily be a place where you could stay for a while - we were super impressed with everything provided in the kitchen (including a microwave with oven features) and laundry that included not only a washer but also a dryer! The host is very easy to communicate with, and we were so grateful for the flexibility in getting our check-in time set up and being able to leave our luggage after check-out. We will definitely be looking to stay here again the next time we're in Nara!

Negative: There wasn't anything we didn't like - it's wonderful! If you are somebody with mobility issues, you may want a heads up that the stairs are a little steep (but very sturdy and with a good handrail), and if you like a really soft bed/pillow, you might find these a bit firm.
